Oregon/Stoughton- Larry L. Fountain, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 8, 2017. He was born in Nashville, TN on February 17, 1944, the son of Wilbur and Mary Fountain. On May 7, 1966 Larry married Terry Anderson in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Larry proudly served his country for 29 years with the Marines and Air National Guard, retiring in 2004. He was an active hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed coaching ball and umpiring. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Terry; two children, Scott (Stacy) and Heidi (Karl) Brickson; grandchildren, Callie, Coy, Kole, Jake, Caitlin, Josh, Ryan and Jesse; great grandchildren, Sawyer "Little Saw Man", Tanner, and Ellie; sister, Brenda (Larry) Dalton; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Military honors will follow the service. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, at the Stoughton American Legion, immediately following the service. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.
