Larry Ewing

d. April 18, 2015

Madison - Larry M. Ewing, 76, Madison, died in his home April 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Freda Ewing; his brothers, Gordon, Lonnie and Lee; and his sister Marveline (Ewing) Marshall. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn (Ewing) Lewis, and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was born and raised in Richland Center, Wisconsin. After serving in the U.S. Army, he moved to Madison to begin his lifelong career as a court stenographer for the State of Wisconsin. He retired in 1994. Larry was a devoted and generous son to his mother, Freda, of Richland Center. The two shared their great love for the Wisconsin Badgers and held football season tickets together for many years. After her passing in 1989, Larry attended games alone until 1993, when he increased his number of season tickets to enjoy with his nephew, Terry Teach and family, for over a decade. In recent years, Larry was particularly proud to watch another nephew, Bradie Ewing, play for the Badgers.

Larry was a quiet, gentle man of strong spiritual faith. He took great pride in his independence and ability to maintain his health following a diagnosis of diabetes. He was loved and will be missed.

At Larry's request, no funeral service will be held. He will be buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison.
