Larry Camren

Madison - Larry Lynn Camren, age 69 passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born on May 23, 1949 in Madison, the son of Harold and Myrtle (Fuller) Camren. Larry graduated from East High School in 1968. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. Following his time in the service, Larry began working for the University of Wisconsin in their maintenance department until his retirement in 2011. He was a member of the VFW Post #8483. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking trips up north and spending time with family and friends. Larry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his brother; Robert "Bob" (Ellie Anderson) Camren of Black River Falls, niece, Becky (Scott) Smith of Fitchburg, Kelly (Cody Granflaten) Camren of Janesville and two great-nieces Cora and Sadie Smith.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 East Washington Ave., Madison on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Amanda Stein officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Graveside services with military honors will follow the funeral on Thursday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Larry to the VFW Post #8483, 5737 county Hwy CV, Madison, Wisconsin 53704.
