Laforrest Scott

SUN PRAIRIE - LaForrest "Forrie" June Scott, age 83 passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Meriter Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 9, 1934, the youngest of 5 to Forrest and Thelma Griswold. She married the love of her life Richard Marvin Scott on May 15, 1954. They raised their family together until his death in 1972, after which Forrie continued to raise the beautiful family which was her proudest accomplishment. In addition to her children, she cherished the special bond she had with her 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and she was happiest when she could share time with them.

Forrie is survived by her children, Randy (Sandy) of Sun Prairie, Rory (Wanda) of Tigard, OR, Rick "Tuggy" (Cheryl) of Marshall, Ron (Barb) of Fort Atkinson, Linda (Tim) Campbell, Gary (Nancy), Jim (Jane) and Steve (Amy) of Sun Prairie; sisters, Bev Sperry and Elda Meier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Arnold Griswold, sister, Arlis Kreuger, sister in law, Elizabeth Griswold, brothers in law, Norman Krueger, John Derlein, Curly Sperry and Melvin Meier.

A funeral service will be held at BRISTOL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6835 County Hwy N, Sun Prairie on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. presided by Pastor Jen Johnson. Friends may call from 12 noon at the church until the time of the funeral. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Bristol Lutheran Church Cemetery. Following the services family and friends are invited to a meal in the church fellowship hall.

Her children would like to give a special thank you to Forrie's daughter, Linda for all the years of living with Mom and taking care of her.
