Kenneth Paar

Waunakee-Kenneth J. "Ken" Paar, died on April 8, 2017 after a long illness. Ken was born on July 24, 1945 to Wilfred and Marcella (Koch) Paar and grew up on the family farm with his sisters Kathleen (David) Warner and Nancy Moreland, and worked his life in the farming industry. Ken lived his life working, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Ken loved anything that involved him being outdoors. Ken was married to Linda Strommen and they had three children, Helen, DeLyle and Jaclyn. He was also married to Alice (Meicher) Paar until her death.

Ken is survived by his two daughters, Helen (Mark) Pullen, Waunakee and Jaclyn (Steve) Kelley, Lodi, his grandchildren, Jordan, Marcus, Jack, Sierra, Kayla Pullen and Preston and Natalie Kelley, his sisters Kathleen (David) Warner, Cross Plains, and Nancy Moreland Waunakee and many nieces, nephews and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son DeLyle, his wife Alice, his brother in law Clarence Moreland and brother William Pilgrim. His daughters would like to thank his sister Nancy Moreland for her endless support assistance and love to their dad during his long illness. Ken lived his life to the fullest and never felt sorry for himself in his significant health issues, he fought his illness to the end.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 209 South Street, Waunakee, on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor James Gunn presiding. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the mass. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Post 360 417 E Main Street Waunakee.
