Kenneth E Nelson

Kenneth E. Nelson, age 81, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth was born in Antigo, Wisconsin, the son of Tom and Virginia Nelson. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point in 1971. He later earned his Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1974.

Kenneth built a distinguished 40-year career as an executive specializing in IT integration and optimization, earning the respect of colleagues throughout his professional life.

An active and competitive spirit, Kenneth found joy in running, racquetball, golf, painting, and cross-country skiing, pursuits he carried with him throughout his life. He inspired many to explore running, and that legacy lives on through family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Tiffanie Ross (David), and his two granddaughters, Payton and Kennedy, who brought him tremendous pride and joy. He is also survived by his former wife, Gayle Nelson, and his siblings: Michael Nelson (Shirley), Terry Nelson (Ruthann), and Ginny Roman, along with their children.

Kenneth will be remembered for his love of family, generous spirit. sense of humor, and larger-than-life presence.

In lieu of a memorial, Ken's wish was for family to reminisce about the joyous times they shared together, and to make donations to causes important to them.
