McFarland/Madison- Kay L. Jenson, age 60, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at UW Hospital after her battle with pancreatic cancer. Kay was born on March 10, 1956 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Roger A. and Joan F. (King) Jenson.
She is survived by son, Thomas R. Valley; grandson, Rory Miller-Valley; granddaughter, Mayciekay Jenson. She is further survived by sisters, Marian (Rex) Link, Jeri Ann Jenson and Frances Jenson (Darren Soderholm); a brother, Alan D. Jenson; along with numerous cousins; and mothers of her grandchildren, Lori Miller and Amanda Keller. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger A. Jenson; grandparents, Melvin and Lily Jenson and Arthur and Beth King.
As per Kay's wishes a potluck and Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at McFarland Lutheran Church, 5529 Marsh Road, McFarland, WI. The family encourages you to please bring a dish to pass and a story or comment of Kay's to share. Private burial will take place in Jug Prairie Cemetery in Brooklyn.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to an Education Fund for Rory and Maycie. Make checks payable to Family of Kay Jenson.
A special thanks to her friends, especially Marianne and Colleen, who's medical expertise were invaluable along with their friendship. Also to the UW Hospital staff in the 4FM5 ICU and Dr. Uboda.
