Madison - Kathryn J. "Kathy" Anderson, age 70, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 after a 3 � year battle with ovarian cancer. Score: Cancer - 3, Kathy - 0. She was born May 28, 1945 to Lewis W. "Woody" and Dorothy A. (Peterson) Plummer in Two Rivers, WI. She attended grade school in Prairie du Sac and high school in Portage. She received her RN from Madison General Hospital in 1967 and at the age of 50 got her college degree from the College of St. Francis. She was an RN in various capacities at Madison General and over 25 years at Madison Plastic Surgery Associates. She and Dick Anderson were married on November 14, 1970. On August 9, 2015 she had a "Kathy's Going Out Party" for her and her friends. She didn't want to miss a party. She was a host mom since 2001 for the Madison Mallards and valued all the "sons" she came in contact with. This past summer she was put on the Mallard Wall of Fame at the Duck Pond for her service to the Mallards. Kathy, Dick and the kids spent many enjoyable times at their cottage on Lake Wisconsin. Kathy is survived by her husband, Dick; a daughter, Jill of St. Paul; and a son, Jay of Madison; along with a brother, Scott (Lucy) Plummer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Mike Anderson. Thanks to the people at the UW Carbone Cancer Center, especially Dr. Lisa Barroilhet and Robert Olson of Associated Physicians, as well as the staff at Agrace HospicCare, plus all her family and friends. A Celebration of Kathy's Life will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015, with Father Timothy Jones presiding. A visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service at Cress. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the UW Carbone Cancer Center or Agrace HospiceCare.
