Remembering and Celebrating Kathleen (Eddy) Skeway

November 16, 1945 – June 26, 2026

Kathleen (Kathy) was born on November 16, 1945 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Growing up, she was active in many activities. In high school she was in a marching band, was active in 4H and won awards for her projects, and she played the organ for her church.

She married and went to college in Superior Wisconsin where she got a degree in Physical Science and teaching. During her career she worked in various positions within the state of Wisconsin. She had two children, a daughter and a son, and her family moved to Madison Wisconsin when her children were very young.

She was very generous with her time as she enjoyed volunteering. She volunteered as a room mother at her children’s grade school, was a volunteer usher at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison, and volunteered in her granddaughter’s Girl Scout troop.

She loved the performing arts. She could play a number of musical instruments, loved going to concerts, musical theater, and her granddaughter’s dance performances. She also loved her cats which she adopted from shelters. Her favorite charity was the Dane County Humane Society.

Kathy is survived by her children (Michelle and Michael); grandchild (Jasmine); brother (Richard); many nieces and nephews; and her two cats (Tigger and Puffin).

Kathy is preceded in death by her father (Clarence) and mother (Edna).

Kathy is loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
