Oregon / Town of Dunn - Katherine Louise Williamson (affectionately known as Kabby), loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, nurse, and friend peacefully passed away in her daughter’s home in Oregon, WI. Kabby was born in Portland, Oregon to the late Robert A. Bentley and Helen Niles Bentley. She spent her childhood moving across the country, as her father was called by the ministry. Some of her childhood homes were Clinton, IA, St. Joseph, MO, Galva, IL, and then spending her high school years in Hancock MI. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1955, then attended nursing school at Macalester college in Minneapolis, earning her RN in nursing in 1959. After graduating, Kabby married the love of her life, Frederick Oscar Williamson, September 19th, 1959, in Hancock, MI.

Soon after marrying, Kabby and Fred moved to Saginaw, MI where they built a life centered on family, community, and service. Kabby spent her nursing career serving the residents of Saginaw at the Saginaw County Health Department. She retired after many years of dedication and compassion. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross Blood Program. Kabby was also dedicated to being a wonderful friend to many and a faithful follower of God. She was an active member of Countryside Trinity Church in Saginaw, MI. Over the years she was known for her warm and giving nature, never forgetting a friend’s or family member’s birthday or other special date. She lived an active life, especially loving swimming, biking, playing tennis, traveling, playing card games, singing in the church choir, and sewing. She taught her loved ones many life lessons, not the least of which was to live a life of growth and service to others.

Surviving Kabby are her three children and their spouses, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Her children Robert (Sandy) Williamson, Susan (Norman) Richards, and Karin Williamson (Patrick Horrigan) will miss her dearly, as will her grandchildren, Ryan Williamson (Lia), Paige Conwell (James), Samuel Richards (Lanie), Thomas Richards (Mackenzie), Frederick Richards (Anna Larson), Jack Horrigan (Isabelle Karl), and great grandchild Sadie Elyse Richards.
