Karla Dew

Karla (Clemetson) Dew, age 55, passed away on Aug. 19, 2010 after a seven-year courageous and inspirational battle with cancer. Karla was born in Janesville on July 14, 1955. She was a graduate of UW Madison with a B.S. in Statistics. She worked for the State of Wisconsin for 33 years. Karla loved and cared for her family and friends. She had many interests, including: knitting, avidly following sports, travel, games and puzzles and trips to the family cottage in the north woods. Her deepest engagement was being a wife and mother. Karla is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mathew; two sons, Mike and Steve and his fiancee Kristen Dziubinski. She is further survived by her mother, Sylvia Clemetson; sisters, Anita (Larry) Koupal and Carol (Jack) Wuolle and a brother David Clemetson. Karla was predeceased by her father, Donovan Clemetson. There will be an Informal Memorial Gathering for family and friends on Thurs. Aug. 26, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:00 p. m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 6021 University Ave. Memorials may be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to HospiceCare Inc.
