Her commitment to education was admirable, and she continued to broaden her horizons throughout her life. She became a lifelong Badger fan as a result.
An exemplary wife and partner, Karen shared a beautiful marriage lasting 50 years with her loving husband Peter. Their bond was a source of inspiration for all who witnessed their enduring love. Peter will forever carry Karen's memory in his heart.
In addition to Peter, Karen is survived by her brother Richard Tubesing and sister Donna Helm. They were not only siblings but also lifelong confidants who experienced the joys and challenges of life together. Karen's presence will be deeply missed by Richard and Donna.

Her gentle wisdom guided them through various endeavors, making an indelible impact on their paths. Additionally, Karen is survived by four grandnephews and four grandnieces who held a special place in her heart.
