Karen Rose Clark

Karen Rose Clark, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 7, 2025. Born on June 12, 1945 to Cyril & Elizabeth Valley. Karen grew up in Prairie du chien before moving and graduating from Madison west in 1963. On September 23rd, 1967 Karen married Steve Clark. They have been married for 57 years. Karen worked at WPS before retiring from McFarland School district after 19 years.

Along with watching the Badgers and Packers, she also enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren in various sports. Karen had so many interests that included, camping, traveling, cards, gambling, Bocce ball, and spending time with family, volunteering (Food Pantries and Salvation Army)

Karen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Steve Clark, her children, Amy (Rick) Hruby, Mike (Lisa) Clark, Michelle (Nate) Salverson, 5 grandchildren, Dillon (Paige), Hailey, Gavin, Vivi, and Easton. Karen is further survived by her siblings, Jane, Susan (Dennis), Joni (Tom), Jim (Pat), Jill (Tom), Jeff (Deb), numerous nieces, nephews and close friends that have always stayed connected.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, her in laws, Dale and Norma Clark, brother Tom Valley, brother-in-law Clem Steele, niece Maureen Steele and nephew Aaron Aeschbach.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 12:00 - 2:00pm with a service beginning at 2:00pm at the Cress Funeral Home, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland, WI 53558. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
