Karen Ballweg

Windsor - Karen I. Ballweg, age 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born on January 29, 1941 in Brokaw, WI to the late Albert and Jeanette Erickson. She graduated from Wausau High School and worked as a CNA at University Student Health in Madison. She met her future husband, Anthony Ballweg, through a mutual friend and they married on July 27, 1975. Together they raised two children, Allen and Jeanette. Karen enjoyed gardening, crafts, collecting dolls, traveling with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her husband Anthony; son, Allen (fianc�e Julie) Ballweg; daughter, Jeanette (Jason) Kuske; five grandchildren, Kaden, Logan, Allen Jr, Connor and Kaitlyn; sister-in-law's, Mary and Jean Erickson, other relatives and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her siblings; Ken, Clark, and Jean Erickson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.

Friends may join the family for a visitation from 4pm - 7pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee. Additional visitation will take place from 10am - 11am on Friday, November 6 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson St, DeForest. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am with Father Vincent Brewer presiding. Karen will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Meriter Hospital who cared for her at the end.
