June Rouse

Madison - June J. Rouse, age 92 passed away at Agrace Hospice on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 with her loving husband of 72 years by her side. She was born on June 24, 1919 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur and Alma (Dreyer) Luedeke. On June 10, 1939, June was united in marriage with Harry R. Rouse Sr. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They began their married life together in Oshkosh, moving to Rockford and finally residing on Madison's east side for many years. June enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking and most of all taking care of her family and the people she cared about. She is survived by her husband, Harry R. Rouse Sr., two children; Harry (Hilary ) Rouse of Champaign, IL and Marilyn (Ronald) Thuener of Shingle Springs, CA, two grandchildren; Michelle Rouse and Ashley (Michael) Hetherington, and two great grandchildren; Jonathan and Reagan. June was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison on Saturday, April 7, 2012 with Reverend Dustin Krystowiak officiating. Burial at Lake View Memorial Cemetery in Oshkosh, WI will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in memory of June to the Harry and June Rouse Endowment at Concordia University, Mequon, Wisconsin.
