Julie Ann Orlowski

March 18, 1951 — February 5, 2024

Waunakee/Dubuque

In the words of Willie Nelson, Julie Orlowski was our "Angel who flew too close to the ground." Julie passed away at UW Hospital in Madison, WI, on February 5, 2024, at the age of 72.

Born in Michigan, Julie was the beloved eldest daughter of Kenneth “Lowell” and Nancy Larsen and the nurturing older sister to five siblings Mark (Diane), Peter (Shelly), Paul (Lisa), Eric (Patty), Christopher (Katja). Growing up in a home filled with love, her smile and quiet spirit brought warmth to every moment. Julie held family closest to her heart, she relished raising her three sons and found joy in gathering friends and loved ones together. As an adult, Julie lived throughout the United States, making homes in Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Texas, and Wisconsin. It was during her time in Texas that she frequented the Broken Spoke, eagerly hoping to catch a performance by Willie.

Julie leaves behind her devoted husband of 51 years, Allen Orlowski, her beloved children Nicholas (Ann), Andrew (Brittany), and Jeffrey (Sarah), and her adored grandchildren Mervin, Ayla, Lucille, Wilder, and Ainslee.

In honor of Julie's memory, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. (www.parkinson.org

"So leave us if you need to, we will still remember, our Angel flying too close to the ground." Julie’s spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. A memorial in her honor will be held at a later date.
