Judy Nelson

Sun Prairie - Judy Loretta Nelson, age 71, died peacefully on June 2, 2015 at her home. Judy was a brave cancer survivor.

She was born on May 9th, 1944, in Pardeeville, the daughter of Henry and Bernice (Johnson) Beahm. Judy was married to the love of her life, Harold Jens Nelson, they were married on June 24, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK. They spent the early years of their marriage in Portage, moving to Sun Prairie in 1965, where they raised their family.

Judy was a homemaker and stay at home mother. In later years, she and Harold enjoyed many trips to visit family, as far away as California and Kentucky. A particular highlight for Judy and Harold was an Alaskan Cruise they enjoyed as a gift from their children for their 40th Anniversary. Judy was a member of Living Hope Fellowship in Sun Prairie.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Harold; daughter, Annette Fay Parson of Bowling Green, OH; three sons, Larry Keith (Genalyn) Nelson of San Diego, CA, Gene Ray (Rosa) Nelson of San Diego, CA and Steve Todd (Charla) Nelson of Russell, KY; three grandsons, Andrew, Brandon, and Steven Nelson; a sister Beverly Palmer; a nephew, Jeffery Palmer; and niece, Angela (Brian) Bougher.

She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Stephanie S Palmer.

Memorial services will held on Saturday June 6th, 2015 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI at 10:00 am with Pastor Tom Edwards officiating. A time to gather will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home on Saturday until 1:00pm.
