Judy Ann Keefe, age 62 of Barneveld, passed away unexpectedly from heart disease Wed. Jan. 26, 2011 at Meriter Hospital while surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Aug. 14, 1948 in Madison, the daughter of Earl ""Nip"" and JoAn (Chojnacki) Bowes. After graduating from Central High School, Judy relocated to Little Rock Arkansas where she received her degree in nursing. Returning to Madison years later, she pursued her career in the field of neonatal infant care and worked for 23 years in the NICU at Meriter Hospital. Judy enjoyed the simple things in life, leisurely walks, fish fries, coffee and cinnamon rolls at Herbs Spice & More, lapidary art and jewelry making, reading, nature and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by beloved daughter, Lisa (Mike) Thompson; two wonderful grandchildren, Devin and Quinn Thompson, and the love of her life for 24 years, Duane Rose; two sisters, Connie Bowes and Nancy (Steve) Schmidt, many nieces, nephews, and brother and sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents. The Memorial Gathering will be held Fri. March 11, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:30 p. m. with a Service to start at 6:00 p. m. in the Landmark Auditorium at FIRST UNITARIAN SOCIETY, 900 University Bay Dr., Madison.
