Judith Stuntebeck

Deerfield / Lake Mills – Judith Eileen Stuntebeck, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1941, the daughter of Albert and Gladys Julen.

Judy enjoyed gardening, dancing to polka music, and Willie Nelson. She attended many local concerts and theater productions.  Judy and her partner Tom dressed up for many holidays and events, which involved coordinated outfits or at least matching hats.  She liked to visit her children's homes and leave surprises, such as hand decorated squash.  Judy and Tom were consistent sellers at both the Deerfield and Lake Mills farmers markets - offering an array of home grown vegetables and flowers.  She loved raising a family and enriched the lives of many children that she provided daycare for and her grandchildren. Her kind heart and warm laughter will be missed.

Judy is survived by her children Eileen (David Sersch), Mark, Dan (Becky), and Ted; her grandchildren Rebecca, Majenta, Lexi, Indigo, Sequoia; great-grandson James; and her partner (for 28 years) Tom Jones.

The family wishes to thank Melissa, Kaitlyn, and all the other care providers from Agrace Hospice.  They provided extremely kind and competent care in Judy's last few weeks.  

Visitation will be 4-7pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Cress Funeral Home, 201 Bue St., Deerfield and from 10-11am. at Church on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday September 5, 2025 at Lake Mills Moravian Church, 301 College St., Lake Mills, WI with Pastor Mark Dressel presiding. Judy will be laid to rest at Rock Lake Cemetery.  Lunch will be served following the graveside ceremony.
