Madison-Judith A (Judie) Komplin , age 73, passed away on December 4, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg with her loving family at her side. She was born on April 16 1940 in Madison to the late William and Leta (Baumgartner) Ruck. She was united in marriage to Donald G Komplin May 6, 1966 in Blue Mounds, WI. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Judie enjoyed reading, traveling around the area, garage sales, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
She was a past Queen of Antioch Temple No 113 Daughters of the Nile, volunteered for Children's Dyslexia Center in Madison and also for the Hospice Thrift Store.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years Don, son Dale (Erin), daughter Sue Schultz, granddaughters Mara and Shaelyn Komplin, sister-in-laws Georgina Ruck, Anita Fisher and Helen Komplin, brother-in-laws Eugene Klinzing, Eldon (Phyllis) Komplin, and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Betty Taylor, Nelda Marr Ferrell, and Charlotte Klinzing, brothers Hollis, John, and William Ruck, and son-in-law Dan Schultz.
Visitation to be held Friday, December 13 from 4pm-7pm at the Cress Funeral Home 3610 Speedway Rd, Madison , WI 53705. Masonic services and Daughters of the Nile service to be held during the visitation. Funeral services to be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church 312 Wisconsin Ave Madison, WI 53703 with Pastor Curt Everson presiding. Visitation 10am-11 am, and funeral at 11am.
The family requests memorials to be given in Judie's name to Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Children's Dyslexia Center in Madison, Shriners Hospitals or a charity of your choice.
