Judith “Judy” M. Schwerdtfeger, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born on February 24, 1942 in Spring Green, WI to Wilbert and Angeline (Haas) Holler, Sr. Judy grew up in Pine Bluff on a farm, and she graduated from Mount Horeb High School, Class of 1960. She married Gene Schwerdtfeger on November 28, 1964 in Pine Bluff, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage together.

Family was most important to Judy. She thrived and celebrated every moment she could with her children, grandchildren, and most recently her great-grandchildren. She was a true caretaker. Judy and Gene especially enjoyed their fall rides together towards the Spring Green area.

Judy was known for her sticky buns and her pumpkin chocolate chip bread. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She volunteered at Westside School in Sun Prairie, and in her volunteering days, she focused on celebrating and encouraging children with their reading skills.

Judy was strong in faith, and she was a dedicated member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Sun Prairie and attended as she was able.

Judy is survived by her husband Gene; her children Lana (Andrew) Bowling, Brandon (Kimberly) Schwerdtfeger, Heidi (Neil) Snodgrass, Stuart (Debbie) Schwerdtfeger, and Sara (Jason) Alt; grandchildren Tim and Beth Bowling, Leah, Evan, and Caden Schwerdtfeger, Olivia (Dale) Snodgrass Sheets and Loralee (Mike) Snodgrass Curtin, Emily and Clint Schwerdtfeger, and Ariel (Narisen) Alt and Luke Alt; great-grandchildren Desmond Johnson and Dylan Sheets; eleven surviving siblings; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; and many relatives and dear friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

Judy will be brought to her final resting place in a private service at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
