Stoughton- Judith A. Jothen, age 57, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 7, 1951 in Viroqua, WI the daughter of Kenneth H. and Mildred L. (Chadwick) Blackburn. She married her soul mate, Dennis Jothen, on November 23, 1968. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially visiting ""their place"" at the river. Judy loved to decorate for every holiday and cook meals for her family. Her kids and grand kids were her pride and joy. She briefly worked at the Nazareth House and Skaalen Home as nurses aide, in which she enjoyed working with patients. Judy was a lady who was full of spirit and life, who brought laughter and happiness to everyone she knew. She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends. She was survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Brenda (Scott) Gapinski and Dan (Jodi); grandchildren, Justin and Jacob Gapinski; sisters, Lois (Odean) Dahl of Janesville and Donna (LeRoy) Vix of Onalaska; and brothers, Kenny (Anne) Blackburn of Janesville, John (Doris) Blackburn of Janesville and Robert (Diane) Blackburn of Davenport, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David Blackburn. You will be greatly missed Mom, wife, grandma and friend. We will never forget the love, laughter and happiness you have brought to our lives. Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Covenant Lutheran Church in Stoughton. Burial was held in Lutheran Cemetery South in Stoughton.
