Judith Elaine “Judi” Erdmann, 81, of Franklin passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.

Judi was born on March 11, 1945, in Milwaukee to Jerome and Vera (Pinter) Gottfried. On August 16, 1987, she married Gene Erdmann, and they shared a loving marriage until his passing on November 10, 2021.

She loved the outdoors and was an avid quilter.

Judi is survived by her children: Jennifer Gumphrey (Chris), Peter (Kimberly) Laczniak, Marc Laczniak (Ken), Renee Potrykus, Blaine Erdmann (Holly), and Terry Erdmann (Suzanne); her granddaughter, Rebecca Hurley (Shane); and many grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; and her grandson, Zackary Gumphrey.

No formal services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Judi’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dane County or the Food Pantry of Sun Prairie.
