Joseph Engels

Stoughton – Joseph Engels, age 75, of Stoughton, passed away on October 24, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on October 29, 1948 in Stoughton, the son of Robert and Rosella Engels.

Joseph graduated from Stoughton High School in 1967. He would go on and graduate from University of Wisconsin La Crosse in 1972 with a Bachelor’s of Science. He worked for 1st National Bank and Weber Realty. He was a member of the Stoughton Lions Organization. Joe played softball for many years for the 1st National Team. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends, loved going to all of his nephew’s games, and was a big sports fan. Joe loved getting together with family especially on the Holidays. 

He is survived by his sister, Pat (Dennis) Schroeder; brother, Bob Engels; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Jill) Schroeder, Brent (Brittany) Schroeder, Tyler (Sydney) Schroeder, Nathan Schroeder, Addicyn Schroeder, Nolan Schroeder, Ella Schroeder.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosella Engels; both sets of Grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Celebration of life services will be announced at a later date.
