Jordan A. Beckles of Madison, WI, passed away on May 22, 2026, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. Though a longtime resident of the Madison area, Jordan was born on October 20, 1989, in Brookfield, WI, and spent his childhood in Brown Deer, WI.
Although Jordan worked a colorful array of jobs during his lifetime, his true passion lay in DJ'ing and music production. Under the moniker "BVDVPPLE," Jordan was well known and highly regarded in the local music community for his atmospheric and intricate electonic/dubstep compositions. The time and energy devoted towards perfecting each track carried through into every show - and was reflected in the enthusiasm he'd exude on stage.
Losing Jordan so suddenly has been devastating in a way that's difficult to put to words. However, we've found comfort in knowing that he spent his final days - and final years - surrounded by those who loved him. He will continue to be remembered for his warmth and humor, his boisterous laugh, his sunny smile, and the boundless care and compassion that he expressed to those around him.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Ursilia and Ralph Beckles.
He is survived by his parents, John and Marlene Smith; three sisters: Sierra (Dustin) Young, Alexandra (Erick) Hadjuk, and Sarah Smith; three nieces: Audra (8), Elena (5), and Miriam (1); his partner, Ashlea Pardee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and the many, many, many friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held for Jordan on May 31, 2026, at Cress Funeral Home (6021 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53705). Visitation will begin at 10:00am to be followed by a service at noon. We would love for those planning to attend to wear bright, colorful clothing
Following the service, all are invited to remain at Cress for a reception/luncheon to further celebrate Jordan’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Dane County in honor of Jordan. Your generosity will help continue the organization’s compassionate work of caring for animals in need, a cause that was deeply meaningful to him.
