John Vedo

Mount Horeb- John J. Vedo, age 69, passed away on Wed. Feb. 11, 2015, at his home.

He was born on April 22, 1945 in Gary, Indiana, the son of John and Sophie Vedo. He was united in marriage in 1967 to Helen Tokarski, they shared 47 beautiful years together. John retired from Bethlehem Steel and was a member of the Bricklayer Local Union 6. His passions included gardening, fishing and playing with his dogs.

John is survived by his wife, Helen; son, John (Jung); granddaughter, Evy; aunt, Irene Adamus and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at RESURRECTION CATHOLIC CEMETERY CHAPEL, 2705 Regent Street, Madison, Wis. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the cemetery chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Donations may be made in John's name to University of Wisconsin Hospital- Carbone Cancer Center.
