Madison - John David Myers, age 75, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on July 26, 1936 to Walter and Mary (Fahey) Myers in Stevens Point. John graduated with the Class of 1954 from West High School in Madison and attended the University of Wisconsin--Madison. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1962. John was employed at the Public Service Commission for the State of Wisconsin. After retiring, he spent many winters in Winter Haven, Florida. John is survived by his sister, Jean Kreul; nieces and nephews Mary Kay (John) Schimming, John (Kerri) Kreul, James Kreul and Maureen (Brian) Vandervest; sister-in-law, Toni (Don) Minter; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerome; a brother-in-law, Thomas Kreul; and a niece, Diane Kreul. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH, ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1128 St. James Court, Madison, with Msgr. Thomas F. Baxter officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Catholic School, 1128 St. James Court, Madison, WI 53715, or to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711. His family would also like to thank the staffs at Dean Care, Home Health United, ComForcare, the Cardiac Units at St. Mary's Hospital, and Agrace HospiceCare for their dedicated and compassionate care.
