John Moore

Greetings from John Moore - Instead of a traditional obituary, I'd like to share some of my final thoughts with you. Life may have come to a close for me on March 22nd, but having all of you in my life gave me the courage to fight the best battle I could. You supported me on this winding road, and in particular this final journey. You gave me hope, you gave Carla hope, and I thank you for this gift. Keep doing good things. Take care of those you love and those who need your love, and do something you're proud of. I don't know if there is a hereafter. But if there is, I'll be cheering each of you on as you run your final race, and I'll greet you at the finish line. Thank you all for cheering for me. I love you guys.

Those who knew John will remember him as a kind and gentle man, with a brilliant mind and dry wit. Please join me and John's family in a gathering of remembrance on Saturday April 16th, 2016, 11 am at Holy Wisdom Monastery, 4200 County Road M Middleton, WI 53562. If you would like to make a memorial in John's name, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice.

It was a privilege for me to stand with John and support him through his long battle with cancer. John and I would like to thank Dr. Shanda Blackmon and her team at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Noelle LoConte, Dr. Michael Bassetti, Dr. Toby Campbell and the wonderful staff at the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Carbone Cancer Center for their care and encouragement.
