John Hummel

Middleton: John Joel Hummel, age 63 passed away peacefully Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital from complications of Asthma. He was born in Chicago December 3, 1950. John was united in marriage to Sharon Schoellig October 2, 1971. He was employed until his retirement by the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District Maintenance Dept. John served his country in the National Guard from 1969 to 1975. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; Children; Christina, Joel (Stephanie), grandchildren; McKenzie and Zachary Hummel, mother; Mabel (Sommers) Hummel, sister, Janis (James) Rawson, niece Jacqueline (Tom) Kimble, nephew, Aaron (Vandee) Rawson, mother in law, Irene Schoellig, brother in law, Donald (Kay) Schoellig, sisters in law, Shirley (Russ) Morey, Sue (Jon) Welch and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father John Hummel. A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705 followed with a Memorial Service at 4:00 pm.
