John Hoffman

WAUNAKEE-John H. Hoffman, age 64, of Waunakee, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg following a battle with long-term illness. He was born in Madison on June 17, 1950, to Theodore and Beverly "June" (Lange) Hoffman. John graduated from Waunakee High School in 1968, and shortly thereafter was employed at the Waunakee Canning Co. for 10 years. After traveling out West, John returned to the area and began working for Yahara Materials for 22 years retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. John married Vicki Bond on Sept. 13, 1986, and she preceded him in death in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, spending weekends at Crystal Lake, and vacations up North.

Survivors include his daughter, Jordann and sister, Karen (Rex) Pollack. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandy Schwenn.

A memorial service will be held at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 701 S. Century Ave., Waunakee at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015, with Rev. Karen Locken presiding.
