John Hillebrandt

Cottage Grove/Edgerton - John Arthur Hillebrandt, age 67, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015. He was born on January 11, 1948 in Madison, the son of John and Vivian (Wells) Hillebrandt. John graduated from Madison East High School, attended UW-Madison and then began his apprenticeship as an electrician. He then, enlisted in the United States Navy in 1967, served during Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971. John worked for a Madison Veteran's Hospital as an electrician for over 45 years until his retirement in September of 2004.

He is survived by his son; Jonathon (Angela) Hillebrandt, a daughter; Heather (John "Ivan") Maliska, five grandchildren; Emma, Samuel, Maranda, Justin and Travis, a brother; Jeff (Ann) Hillebrandt and a sister; Nancy (John) Hornung. John is also survived by other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of services. Private graveside services will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery in Bakersfield, CA.
