John Hill

MADISON
John Earl Hill, age 69 passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his home. Born in Thief River Falls, MN on March 5, 1947 son of the late James A. and Pauline (Gagner) Hill.

John graduated from UW Platteville and worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison for a few years before transferring to St. Louis in 1971. He has a long career in the food distribution industry working for Crown Foods, Kraft Foods, and Alliant Foods as a district sales manager until his retirement. He then moved back to Madison. His hobbies included spending time with his children and grandchildren.

John is survived by his mother Pauline; sister Joyce (Ken) Morgan; children Paula (Scott) Carline, Jim (Binnu Palta) and Jeffery (Amanda Tatum) Hill; step-children Kenneth Boston and Kimberly Christopher; former wife, Sheila Hill; 5 grandchildren Tommy, Bailey and Katherine Carline, Sanjay an Nilay Palta-Hill, and new baby Hill coming in 2017.

He was preceded in death by his father, James and sister Sue Green.

A private ceremony will be held on December 15, 2016 with burial in Rock Church Cemetery, Livingston, WI.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the American Family Children's Hospital.
