John T. Baukin, age 54, passed away peacefully after a brave battle of cancer on Sunday, February 19, 2017. He was born in Madison on May 13, 1962, the son of John Baukin and Lilah Hanneman Bieri. John was united in marriage to Diane Pulvermacher on July 16, 1999, in Rockdale, Wisconsin.

John graduated from Deerfield H.S. in 1980, where he lettered in football. After high school, John worked for Hydrite Chemical Company where he retired after 25 years. Some of John's pastimes included playing darts with his friends and dart leagues and watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. But, most of all, his favorite pastime was spending time with his cherished grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife of 17 years, Diane; his stepchildren Jacob (Elizabeth) Stein and Jessica (Alex) Smith; his grandchildren, Roman, Emma and Charlie; his siblings Ricky (Barbara) Hanneman, Brian (Belinda) Baukin, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Skotarzak; his stepbrothers Mark Bieri, Craig (Sarah) Bieri, Scott Bieri; his stepsister Kathy (Todd) Nickerson; his stepfather Arlin Bieri; his god daughter Holly Baukin; and father in law Paul Pulvermacher, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother in law Gail Pulvermacher.

A funeral service will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Avenue in Madison at 11:00 am on Friday, February 24, 2017. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4pm -7pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 and from 10:00am until the time of service on Friday. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.

John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
