Joanne Cardall

Joanne H. (nee Harloff) Cardall, age 85, passed away of natural causes Wednesday, September 19, 2012. She was born in Madison on August 29, 1927 the daughter of the late Ruth Hoppman Harloff and Otto Harloff. She attended West High School and Beloit College. She was a highly regarded employee at First WI Bank, now U.S. Bank, where she retired as a loan officer after 26 years. After retirement she committed herself to volunteering within the community for such organizations as: Area Agency on Aging, DMV, RSVP, and Huegel Elementary School. She thoroughly enjoyed her time as a volunteer and won multiple awards for her outstanding service. She was also an avid follower of local sports and politics.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey B. Cardall and Diane C. Nau; grandchildren, Erik S. Nau and Lisa Michelle Nau; nephew and his wife, Robert S. and Sally Harloff; and cousin, Louise Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert H. Harloff.

A Celebration of Joanne's Life will be held at Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ, 1501 Gilbert Road, Madison at 10 am on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. A reception will follow the service.
