JoAnn Halverson

JoAnn M. Halverson, age 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026, surrounded by family at Agrace HospiceCare.

She was born on June 18, 1953, the cherished daughter of Raymond and Bernadine Kessenich. She graduated from LaFollette High School in 1971 and went on to earn an associate degree from MATC in 1973. On April 4, 1981, JoAnn was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Mark Halverson, sharing many wonderful years of love, partnership, and family together. She worked at New York Life Insurance Company and American Family Insurance until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother John Kessenich; beloved dog Susie.

JoAnn is survived by her devoted husband, Mark, and her loving children, Mark Jr (Mindy), Brad (Lesley); grandchildren, Emery, Hayden, Halley, Kyley, and Riley; sister, Pat Regel; as well as many extended family members.

A Memorial Service celebrating JoAnn’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2026, at St. Paul Liberty Lutheran Church, 3494 Oak Park Rd., Deerfield, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at Church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at St. Paul Liberty Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather for a luncheon at the church education center following the services to share memories and fellowship.
