Madison: Joan Shrosbree Yelineck, age 98, of Beaver Dam, passed away in her sleep, Monday, January 11, 2016, at The Villa at Middleton Village in Middleton.
Loving wife of the late Donald Joseph Yelineck, daughter of the late Grace Flanagan and Edwin Shrosbree born at home in Chicago August 19, 1917. Beloved mother of Loris (Robert) Behr. Devoted grandmother of Robert "Bo" (Debra) Ellis, John (Melissa) Ellis, Marjorie (Richard) Anderson, and Edwin "Ned" (Lindsey) Ellis. Great Grandmother to Robert Ellis, Louis Ellis, Sara Ellis, Todd Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Cara Anderson, and Bambi (Andrew) Smith. Great-great Grandmother to Caleb and Madison Smith.
She was a loving Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Marianne (Robert) Zeman, and brothers Edwin (Gerry) Shrosbree and Joseph (Eileen) Shrosbree.
A celebration of Joan's life and a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, Wisconsin 53717.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Family Children's Hospital, 1675 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at The Villa at Middleton Village and to St. Croix Hospice. Please share your memories.
