Jim Hirsch

Jim (Jimmer) Hirsch, 51, left this world but not our hearts on Thursday, March 15, 2012, as a result of a tragic accident.
Jim was born July 19, 1960, to Wilbur and Betty Hirsch in Madison, WI. He attended Hawthorne Elementary School and later, McFarland High School after moving to McFarland with his family in 1974.
While in Madison he enjoyed several years playing youth hockey. In McFarland he played softball for many years where he made many new friends.
In 1979 he joined the Marines, where in 1980 he was shipped overseas to Norway during one of the coldest winters on record. Never afraid of hard work, he held various jobs after returning to civilian life, working for Air Temperature Services for the last 20 years.
Jim loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing and riding his Harley, plus he was an expert handyman - always ready to help a friend .
Jim is survived by his loving partner Pam Wolter, her daughter Cassy, his mother Betty Hirsch, his brother Michael (Jaclyn) Hirsch, and sister Karen (Jonathan)Knoll, and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Wilbur, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jim, we'll love you and miss you forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in his honor. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24th, from 11:00 to 1:00, at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland.
