Jerome Ballweg

WAUNAKEE-Jerome M. Ballweg, age 80, died on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg following a brief illness. He was born in the Town of Berry on Aug. 19, 1935, to Joseph and Mary Ann (Bong) Ballweg. He married Caroline Hetzel on June 12, 1962, in Plain. Jerry was employed at the University of Wisconsin for 35 years. Upon retirement, he worked part time for Car Quest Auto Parts in DeForest. His favorite pastime was going polka dancing with his wife Carrie. Jerome was a member of St John's Catholic Church and served as an usher for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie; a daughter, Vickie Rortvedt; and four sons, Michael, Doug, Bill, and Bob. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald in January, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
