Jernice Rounds

Sun Prairie- Jernice M. Rounds, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her daughter's home in Waunakee. She was born on February 17, 1941 in Clintonville, WI the daughter of Henry & Mildred (Boettcher) Voelz. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School. Jernice was united in marriage with Clark Rounds on February 10, 1968 in Bonduel and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2005. She has been a resident of Sun Prairie since 2002 and prior to that lived in Marshall for over 30 years. Jernice was a member of the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church. She had a heart of gold and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with her many trips up north with her sisters. A great enjoyment in her life was cleaning for all of the families over the years. She is survived by her children, Jesse (Julie) Rounds, Randolph, Jean (Scott) DeGolier, Waunakee, Mark (Gail) Rounds, Hartland and Jim (Theresa) Rounds, Portland, OR; her grandchildren, Jordan (Renee) Rounds, San Diego, Danielle (AJ) McKinney, Hawaii, Joshua (Mandi) Rounds, Oregon, WI, Nicolle (Robert) Ward, Sun Prairie, Dylan Rounds, Hartland, Jennah (Scott) Peachey, Washington, and Savannah Rounds, Hartland; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Rounds, Karson McKinney, Bryson Ward, Riglei McKinney Owen Rounds and Aubrie Peachey; her brothers, Kenneth (Alice) Voelz, Green Bay and Henry (Connie) Voelz, Wyoming; her sisters, Betty (George) Cole, Michigan, Marcella Kohn, Shawano and Donna (Roger) Braun, Seymour; her sister-in-law, Cecilia Voelz, Shawano; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Vernon and brothers-in-law, Roy & Willard. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held in Highland Memory Gardens, Cottage Grove. We wish to extend our gratitude to Dr. Wisinski and her staff from UW Hospital along with Megan, Cheryl and staff from Agrace Hospice for your loving care to our mom and family.
