Jerene ‘Jeri” Wilkins, AKA Baddass Warrior Princess, age 66, lost her hard battle with cancer Friday, December 16, 2022. It is hard to put into a few paragraphs what a wonderful woman, mother, “Mema”, sister, aunt, and friend she was to so many.

Jeri’s greatest joy was being with her family.  When they were all together, they adventured in cooking, baking, fishing, going on cruises or the casino, playing scratch-offs or playing House of Fun on her tablet. Jeri loved the gardens her daughters and grandchildren planted for her every year.

Drinking her ice-cold Pepsi, eating her favorite BLT Sandwich with extra crispy bacon, watching Star Trek marathons as well as writing numerous poems and short stories were among her favorite things she enjoyed.

Jeri is survived by her daughters Renee (Justin) Lamberty, Kellie (Perry) Dorn, and Nickie Smith.

She is further survived by 11 Grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her mother Darlene Peterson; brothers Dean (Tina) Peterson, Darin (Doris) Peterson and Kurt (Rhonda) Peterson; brother-in-law Greg Radtke as well as many nieces and nephews and numerous other family members.

Jeri was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Gary; her father Dean; mother Jacqueline; brother Layne; and sister Cheryl.

Her daughters would like to Thank Agrace Home Hospice - Fitchburg, with a Special Thank you to Mary and Lisa, her care nurses.

“Thank you, Mary and Lisa, your care for our mother will be forever remembered and treasured.”

We wanted to share a short poem from the words of our mother:

“Dont be critical, don’t be cruel, its time to live the Golden Rule.

So many things go unspoken, the Chain of Fear must be broken.

The legacy of pain cannot go on, I’m not going to pass it on.

I love my Children as I know how, the pain I’ve feared is leaving now.’

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
