Jeraldine A. Molstad

Jeraldine “Jeri” A. Molstad, age 81 of Deerfield/Stoughton, passed away peacefully

on Wednesday October 18th, 2023 at Agrace Hospice. She was born on February

15th,1942 in Milwaukee WI, the daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Murphy) Jessie.

On January 27th,1962 she married David Molstad in Milwaukee. They lived and

raised their family in Deerfield, WI, where they were long-time members of

Deerfield Lutheran Church. Jeri worked at Demco for more than 20 years

and never failed to have treasures to bring home and share with her grandchildren.

Jeri loved bird watching, feeding the squirrels (because they were hungry too), a

home-cooked family meal, a well-tended flower garden, a good deal at The Dollar

General, and talk radio. She made the best scrambled eggs, and knew just how thin

the lefse should be rolled out before you put it on the pan. If you wanted a family

gathering, you could always count on Jeri to get the menu just right, down to the

appetizers. She especially treasured spending time with her family during the

holidays. She enjoyed making lefse and decorating countless Christmas cookies with

her grandchildren–traditions that will be carried on for many more years.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy; daughter, Cindy Farnsworth; son, J.D. (Gina)

Molstad; five grandchildren, Lindsay (Corey) Jarvis, Lauren Farnsworth, and Joe,

Katie, and Larissa Molstad; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Madison, Bodin and

her 4th great-grandchild Piper Jeraldine due to be born on Jeri’s upcoming birthday;

as well as many other relatives far and near who will remember her fondly.

Jeri was preceded in death by her husband, David; her father, Glenn; her brother,

Roger; and infant son, Christopher.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday October 27th, 2023 at Deerfield

Lutheran Church, 206 S. Main St. Deerfield.  Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of the services.  Burial will be in Deerfield Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. A special

thank you to the staff at Skaalen Home and Agrace Hospice for their generous care

of Jeri in her last weeks.
