Jean L. O'Drobinak, age 81 passed away peacefully Friday, February 6, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Chicago, IL on December 18, 1933 to Frank and Madeline (Ryan) Spink.
Jean was an extraordinary person, mother, and wife. She gave selflessly of herself always, and was loved by all who knew her. She loved animals and nature and was always concerned about taking care of both.
Jean's artistic talent was extensive. She was a painter, sculptor, clothes designer, and in her later years made jewelry which she and her husband of 60 years turned into a successful business because of the beauty of her pieces.
In her early years she was a singer and took great pleasure in bringing joy to others. She especially enjoyed singing at nursing homes, because of the happiness she saw in response to her visits.
Her unconditional and unwavering love, wisdom, and guidance for her sons provided them with all they needed to become positive citizens, successful professionals, and good husbands, fathers, and men.
She will leave a light of love with all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Jean is survived by her husband Robert; three sons, Michael (Lisa), William and Timothy (Karen); 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Olivier, Brandon, and Ryan; and 3 great-grandchildren.
