Stoughton- Jay E. Julson, age 82, died on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare Center. He was born in Richland Co. Montana on September 15, 1930, the son of Oscar and Celia (Gunderson) Julson. Jay graduated from Gilmanton H.S. and UW Eau Claire. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. On March 8, 1952 Jay married Bonnie Davis at Gilmanton Evangelical Church. Jay worked for State Farm Insurance Company for 28 years, retiring in 1992 as a sales manager. He was a member of Midvale Lutheran Church and the Stoughton Lions Club. Jay enjoyed playing golf and was an avid reader. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa and will be sadly missed by his family. Jay is survived by his two children, SueLynn (Gary) Hochstein of Seeley and Timothy Jay (Lori) of Stoughton; six grandchildren, Jeremy Barkenhagen, Bradley Bong, Ashley Julson, Andrew Julson, Kaitlin Julson and David Bong; two great grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Bonnie; one brother; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Midvale Community Lutheran Church, 4329 Tokay Blvd., Madison, with Rev. Bruce Loewenhagen officiating. Burial will take place in Lutheran Cemetery South in Stoughton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services at church on Friday.
