Janet Lovick

DeForest-Janet M. Montague Lovick, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer at UW-Hospital, Madison . She was born on May 30, 1960 in Madison the daughter of John Montague & Lois (Poster Montague) Smith.

Janet was a strong and courageous woman making her a hero to her family and friends. Throughout her life struggles, she tried hard to shield her family from her own suffering. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren (her "baby beans", Ayden and Avalynn).

Friends and family will remember Janet for her creative and artistic abilities and goofy sense of humor. Her facial expressions were priceless. Janet enjoyed fishing, hunting, and outdoor photography. She had an incredible love for all her friends, even those with fur. Janet passed away on her mother's birthday as her mother came to take her angel home.

She is survived by her children, John (Lisa) Harmon, Marshall and Jordan (fianc�e Kyle Brown) Harmon, Poynette; her grandchildren, Ayden and Avalynn Harmon; her step-father, Paul A. Smith, Madison; her sisters, Cynthia (Ron) Meister, Madison, Gail (Adam Naasko) Montague, Madison and Susan (Rob Sommer) Montague, Davidson, NC; her former husband and friend, Bruce Lovick, Poynette; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, John Montague and Lois L. Smith and first husband, Terry Harmon. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Norway Grove Memorial Lutheran Church , 820 River Road , DeForest with Rev. Ron Strobel officiating. A time of gathering will be held on Monday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. A reception will be held following service at the church. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to her son, John Harmon, to process into a memorial fund.
