Jane Doris Daniels, 85, of Sun Prairie passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Drumlin Reserve Memory Care.

Jane was born on February 12, 1941 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Elvin and Doris (Corwin) Hooper. She had 3 children, Dalisey, Dorsanne, and Aaron. In August of 1976 she moved with Dorsanne from Wagoner, Oklahoma to Sun Prairie, Wi to continue her education in Health Services Administration at the UW Madison where she earned her Master of Arts degree. Other education includes the Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and Bachelor of Science, at Northeastern Oklahoma State University.

She has been a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma and Wisconsin. She served as conference lay leader for many years. Later in life she left her job at the UW Family Practice of Medicine and became a Methodist ordained pastor which she loved.

She enjoyed embroidering baby quilts for family and friends, reading Agatha Christie murder mysteries, helping those in need, and watching Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. She loved to travel and was fortunate to visit 6 continents and numerous countries.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Dorsanne (Jim) Stark; grandchildren, Joshua Tolbert (Brittany), Chris Patterson (Tauna Steiner), Tim Patterson (Heather Klos), Johnathan Daniels (Aliyah Fielding), and Laura Daniels (Alejandro Montantes). Great grandchildren, Codey and Connor Patterson, Jacob Tolbert, and Raphael Montantes. Sister-in law Pat Hooper. Nephews Lynn Hooper (Lisa) and Robbie Hooper (Kim)

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Lynn Hooper, Daughter Dalisey Moore, Son Aaron Daniels, grandson James Tolbert, and son-in-law JC Moore

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sunshine Place Food Pantry in Sun Prairie WI.

A memorial service will take place at 10AM on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, 702 North Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590. A visitation will take place from 9AM until the time of service.
