James Willey

Sun Prairie - James A. "Jim" Willey, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in South Portland, Maine on May 25, 1935 the son of Norman and Dollace (Burrill) Willey. Jim served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force for 14 years. He was united in marriage to Jo Ann Haack on December 29, 1975 and they just celebrated their 40th anniversary. Jim enjoyed bowling and golfing and got a hole in one on August 29, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Willey; sons, Allen (Deb) Willey, Randy Knudtson, and Rich (Tammy) Knudtson; a daughter, Lorraine Willey; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Debra, Kayla, Kendra, Jacob, Nicole and Oriana; a great grandson, Cole; brothers, William (Karen) Ross and Herbert Schwank; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Douglas, sister, Florence, father and mother-in-law, Edwin and June Haack.

A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Jim's family would like to thank Dr. Michael Aughey and the medical staff on 5 southwest and St. Mary's Hospital.
