James Walser

Madison - James "Jim" D. Walser, age 69, died peacefully Friday, August 29th, 2014 at the William S. Middleton V.A. Hospital with his family by his side. He was born January 20th, 1945 in Joliet, IL to the late Herman and Marge (Koehler) Walser. He graduated in 1963 from Joliet Township High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam Era, mostly serving in Okinawa, Japan. After his time in the service, Jim moved to Placerville, CA for several years. He then moved to Madison to be closer to family. During this time, he worked in the trucking industry. Throughout his life, he had a special love for dogs and always had one by his side.
Jim is survived by his step-mother, Betty, sister Sandy (Bill) Butler, three nephews, one niece, his dog Cocoa, other relatives and friends.
A private Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
