James Stehley

McFarland- James Lyndon Stehley, our beloved father, brother, husband and friend passed away at his home in McFarland, WI on Jan. 24th 2017, at the young age of 69. Born to a railroad family in Minnesota on August 20, 1947, Jim spent his youth exploring the woods, fishing and developing a love for the natural world that he passed on to all those around him. He became a pharmacist and worked for over 20 years at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. After retirement, his time was filled with family, church, gardening, cycling, and spending time on the water.

Jim is survived by his three children, Jennifer Stehley (David), Ethan Stehley (Teresa), Zach Stehley (Brooke); their mother Gloria Stehley, grandson Albert James Stehley, and sisters, Pam Pappas (Walt), Michelle Buss, Kim Harwood (Russ). He was preceded in death by his parents Russ and Evelyn Stehley, brother Jon Stehley, and grandson Cameron Maxwell Stehley.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at Arbor Covenant Church in Madison, WI, with visitation starting at 10:00am. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following, in the church fellowship hall. Memorial gifts can be made to Arbor Covenant Church.
