James Mislivecek

Deerfield- James W. Mislivecek, age 69, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born in Hillsboro on January 4, 1943, the son of Albert and Bertha (Ennis) Mislivecek. James married his first wife, Mary Plante, mother of his children, in May 1965. He later married Judy Gjestson on February 14, 1984. James graduated from Stoughton High School. He worked at Certco Grocery Distributors for 35 years as a truck driver. James was a member of the Cap City 4 Lakes Hog Club and enjoyed travelling with his wife Judy. He was a big fan of the Packers, Badgers and NASCAR. James is survived by his two children, Mike Mislivecek and Suzanne Brettell; two step sons, Scott (Kara) and Curtis Sorenson; grandchildren, Kassandra, Celina, Coty, Seth, Elizabeth, Emily, Travis and Cody; great granddaughter, Kairi; sisters, Linda Coon and Alice Dunse; brother, Richard Mislivecek; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy; brother-in-law, Tom Coon; and nephew, John Coon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Deerfield Lutheran Church, 206 S. Main Street, Deerfield, with Rev. Larry Sexe officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home in Deerfield, and from 10:00 AM until the time of services Saturday at church.
