MADISON - James Leroy Bambrough, age 92, passed away Wednesday, December 9th, at Serenity House in DeForest, Wisconsin. He was born on June 1st, 1923 in Madison, Wisconsin. James was the son of Morris and Mildred (Payne) Bambrough. He was married to Dorothy Mae Jordan on June 20th, 1942 and they cherished their 61 years of marriage. James served in the United States Air Force as a machinist and Master Sergeant from 1943 until 1952. He also drove a truck for CW Transport for many years. James is survived by two grandchildren, Todd Bambrough and Tammy Jo (Justin) Brady; five great grandchildren, Austin Bambrough, Kayla Negreterios, Brandon Negreterios, Justin Brady Jr., and Amanda Brady; daughter-in-law Mary Jo Bambrough; half-sister Genevine and half-brother Harry (Arvela) Bambrough; two dogs, Buddy and Charlie; and two cats, Trouble and Winnie. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Bambrough, and step great granddaughter, Ariyl Brady. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 14th at 12:00 p.m at CRESS FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53704. Friends and family may call from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison where Military Honors will be accorded.
